Conducting education based social science research is our joy. Through research projects, we are able to review education effectiveness and provide sound observations and/or suggestions to help elevate your educational programs from good to great. Our multi-method approaches do not end with a technical analysis, we also offer unique qualitative elements where the people in your educational process are recognized as key participants in a community of practice.
Educational Programming
Your school may need to outsource its classroom management. Teachers simply do not have the time to meet accountability standards while simultaneously manage student behaviour. Counter Current can help. We will develop a summer time program geared to encourage students to critically think about day-to-day choices with the aim to prepare them for the upcoming academic year. We use a research based intelligence module based in part on popular culture trends to teach, coach, and mentor youth. Our program has a tested 100% college acceptance rate for student participants and has been successful in the United States and Europe.
Teacher Training
With the many schools that are opening for the first time or reinventing themselves across the country, Counter Current can help prepare your new and experienced educators with the practical skills to effectively manage their class. With a targeted focus on disadvantage youth, we will develop intense workshops aimed to connect what new teachers learned in class to the often daunting realities of REAL classroom management. And for the experienced teacher, we will help analyze and reflect upon their experiences to bring to life a more organic pedagogical approach and/or enhance their overall instructional methodology.
